Nissos beer is a high-quality and internationally awarded beer, produced in Tinos island, Greece. Developing its new visual identity, from the key visual, up to the custom typeface, our approach reflects the values and the lifestyle of Cyclades and more precisely of Tinos island, as its birthplace. A sense of craft prevails, as the identity is based on the creation of visual elements by hand, an approach that is synonymous with the brand's personality. Die-cuts of islands, dolphins, anchors, and brewing machinery compose an imaginative setting centered on the Aegean Sea. The color palette creates an environment in earthy tones, fostering an atmosphere of effortless ease, just like a summer noon in the Cyclades.

These earthy tones contradict the turquoise of the Aegean waters, while a circular handling of the wording serves as a reference to the origin of the name Cyclades (Kykládes nísoi, 'encircling islands') which refers to the archipelago forming a circle of islands. LD Mantrakas Display the custom typeface designed for the brand, constitutes an ode to marble sculpturing as an expression of Tinos' cultural identity. Exploring marble’s structure, feels harsh but humane, offering a dynamic visual presence. Mantrakas is the handmade traditional hammer used in marble sculpting.
